Joe Simonelli’s Old Ringers is a bawdy adult comedy about four retired women who stumble into phone sex as a way to cope with their dwindling finances.
Meet Diane, Vera, Rose and Kathy Ann, best friends whose friendship buoys them through life’s ups and downs. But when retirement and an economic downturn present their own challenges, they scramble to find a creative solution. One wrong phone call and encouragement from their accountant drives them to a bold new business venture. Mix in a serious-minded daughter and a local cop, and you’ve got a winning recipe for love and laughter.
Come see this comedic look at a serious issue for seniors that’s receiving rave reviews (read them below here) across the country….
“A comedy masterpiece Go see it! now!”
—Joe Franklin Bloomberg Radio
“Go see Old Ringers to experience the lighter side of the economic downturn as told
by comic playwright Joe Simonelli. Balancing obscenity with drier subjects like
social security checks, keeps the play believable but doesn’t detract from its
raucous, crowd pleasing comedy!”
—Monterey County Weekly
“This brassy offering is anything but subtle as it raises laughter to the rafters.”
—FIRSTONLINEWITHFRAN.COM
“The women spring into action and the comedy ramps up as the phone calls roll in.”
