In the midst of the 9/11 tragedy, a life-long New Yorker prepares her moving boxes, ready to uproot herself from her home to go to Chicago to be near her son and granddaughter.
As she unpacks her boxes, she wonders what her life is all about in this, it’s final chapter, and she rediscovers the family she has not really known. Son Frankie wrestles with old demons that caused him to move away from home decades ago, while granddaughter Julia for the first time begins to grasp what family truly means.
Anyone who has been forced to confront the sum total of their lives, anyone who has cared for an aging parent and anyone who has connected with family members across generations will relate to this at times funny, at times poignant, drama as each of the main characters deals with major 2nd acts in their lives.
