First Northern Credit Union’s open during the pandemic

The 2nd Act Players would not have existed these past six years without the support of our sponsors. So we want to support them during this Coronavirus pandemic by encouraging people to continue patronizing the sponsors who are open for business.

2nd Act Players’ 2019 sponsor First Northern Credit Union, which has an office in downtown Evanston, is open for business during these difficult times.

” Yes, we are open and continue to serve those members that need to visit us in the branch though we strongly encourage use of remote channels like online and mobile banking,” a credit union spokesperson tells us.

“Further, we are not conducting certain business transactions within our offices including, but not limited to, in-person loan closings, new account openings, and savings and loan applications. We can set appointments for those transactions and/or have processes in place for alternate arrangements.”

The best way for customers and potential clients to reach the credit union is to call 847-332-0240 or visit

“We encourage our members in need to reach out to us with any concerns and we will discuss how we may be able to help,” she explains.

Asked what message it would like to send its customers/clients/potential customers, the credit union spokesperson responds:

“We are honored to be selected by the City of Evanston to lead a series of free weekly financial wellness workshops (held via webinar until further notice), relevant to today’s changing needs and challenges. Members and non-members are welcome to attend these no-hassle, no-obligation workshops. Visit to learn more and enroll.”
