Playwrights — enter our 2020 Short-Script Competition which we’re calling 60 is the new 40?
Baby boomers have changed and redefined every phase of life they’ve passed through and they’re doing it again with old age.
With more and more of them crossing the “senior” threshold every day, they’re often taking a different approach to their final years. And yet they face many of the same problems as past generations — healthcare, the loneliness of out-living family and friends, issues about where they’ll live, when they’ll downsize. And let’s not forget romance.
We’re looking for short scripts (10-25 pages) that capture the senior ethos of the day. We’ll pick from six to nine (depending on length of the winners) to perform is our 60 is the new 40 Play Festival.
