Intentions is the story of a woman trying to overcome a past trauma so she can once again find the love and joy in life.
Helping her on that journey is her mother, Helen. Veteran actor Debra Rodkin will play Helen in the 2nd Act Players’ upcoming May production of Intentions. Her early work in forming the character during rehearsals promises a moving performance.

Determined love
2. What are you drawing on in your own life to play Helen?
One aspect of my mom, that sense ‘if only you would live your life the way I tell you, you would be so happy.’
3. Will audiences leave the show loving or hating Helen and why?
Loving. Her love for her daughter and desire for her to break free, regain herself and be able to be happy is so evident.
