Opening weekend audiences were overwhelmingly positive in their praise for the 2nd Act Players’ #MeToo Play Festival, with 100% of those who filled out evaluation forms saying they would recommend the festival to a friend. In addition, 93% rated the performances as either excellent or good.
“These plays and these actors really connected with our audiences, these are some of the most positive ratings we’ve received,” says 2nd Act Players’ Cofounder John N. Frank.
“Brilliant,” “made me think,” “excellent,” “Complex characters in interesting situations,” were some of the comments expressed to 2nd Act Players’ Cofounder Carolyn Calzavara after the shows, she relates.
Also, 88% of those answering said that based on their experience watching the festival, they would return for another 2nd Act Players’ performance.
“We are the best-kept theater secret on the North Shore, but the word continues to filter out,” says Frank. “And there’s still time to see what these audiences were so excited about.”
The festival, which includes performances of six 10-minute plays examining issues raised by the #MeToo Movement, continues this coming weekend with shows on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Click here for more details on the festival page or go directly to buy tickets by clicking here.
