The opening night audience for the 2nd Act Players’ One-Act Play Festival raved about the performances they saw Saturday, March 11, with 100% of those who filled out evaluation forms saying they would recommend the festival to a friend. All the respondents rated the performances as either excellent or good with none rating it fair or poor.
“The casts of both our one-act plays put on outstanding performances last night. I was humbled to watch their talents on our stage,” says 2nd Act Cofounder John N. Frank. Frank also directed one fo the plays, The Last Days of Wonder which deals with a dying mother and her two daughters trying to cope with the coming loss.
The second play in the festival is Falling Into Macy, the story of two couples, one falling out of love, the other never quite falling into it, was directed by Chris Johnson.
The shows got audience members thinking about their themes. A third of respondents said they would reflect privately on the themes after the show while nearly another third said they would read through the show program more closely to glean more details about the shows.
