John N. Frank likes to say he became interested in acting through a side door. He wanted to become a playwright and thought an acting class would help him become a better writer. Once in the class, “I fell in love with being on the stage,” Frank says.

John will be reprising his role as Michael in ArLynn Leiber Presser’s Remembrance Jan. 29-31 at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center in Evanston. He also played Michael during the April, 2015 performances of Remembrance in Winnetka.
Of his character says, “Michael likes being in charge but also looks to the general as a distinguished mentor.” Asked his dream role, John says he would love to play Sonny in Bronx Tale, one of his top three favorite films of all time.
John is also very excited to be coproducing Remembrance with his 2nd Act Players, marking the first time the Players have staged a play written by someone other than John himself.
Come see John and the other cast members of Remembrance in three very special performances Jan. 29-31 at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center in Evanston. Friday and Saturday night shows start at 7:30, Sunday’s is a 3:30 matinée.
