Starae Wheeler decided she needed to stretch her comfort zone and acting presented the perfect opportunity to do just that. “I became an actor because I had stage fright,” she recalls.

Confronting it head on, Starae has become a force to be reckoned with on stage in ArLynn Leiber Pressser’s Remembrance. She is one of two cast members in the Jan. 29-31 performances of the play who will be playing a character different from the one she portrayed when the show was performed in Winnetka last April.
Starae portrayed the poppy angle in the April shows, a role she says has been her favorite to date. Her dream role would be to star in a Twilight saga film, “because I love vampires and Robert Pattinson,” she says.
Starae will be portraying the archangel Michael in the January shows of Remembrance. Her character, she says, “is a very proud angel.”
Come see Starae and the other cast members of Remembrance in three very special performances Jan. 29-31 at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center in Evanston. Friday and Saturday night shows start at 7:30, Sunday’s is a 3:30 matinée.
