The 2nd Act Players began with a dream — to showcase undiscovered playwrights and actors while showcasing never-before-seen works for the stage. It’s a dream we can’t continue to achieve without your help!!!
Friday, April 13th marks the 5th birthday for the 2nd Act Players. On that date, in 2013, our first play — New Year’s Eve at Grandma’s House — opened to sold out audiences.
Since then, the numbers speak for themselves (or you can watch our birthday video, above). In the past five years, 2nd Act Players has showcased:
- 43 actors
- 14 plays
- 8 directors
- 4 assistant directors
- 5 stage managers
So say Happy Birthday to the 2nd Act Players by making a small donation to our birthday fund-raising campaign. Ticket sale proceeds cover just over half of our annual costs, so without you, our generous donors and sponsors, we could only have done half of what you see listed above and in our video. Simply click here or on the Donate button on our site.
And come see what promises to be a much-talked about #MeToo Play Festival this May, six plays by woman authors about major issues raised by the #MeToo movement.
