Thank you to the cast, crew and audiences for “Moving Boxes”

Another 2nd Act Players’ world premiere, the two-act family drama Moving Boxes, has drawn the curtain for the final time and so we want to thank everyone involved in the production.

Finding a cast for a play like this is always an adventure. A director never knows who he or she may end up working with nor how they will work together as a team. The cast of Moving Boxes was not only an exceptionally talented one but also one which bonded beautifully and was an immense pleasure with which to work. I am already missing seeing them daily but know I will see them on-stage again given their wonderful acting abilities.

My thanks also to the people behind the scenes who make it all possible, which this year included Carolyn Calzavara Frank, Jenny Frank, Anne McGrath and Michelle Vandergraaf Weiss. And let’s not forget our amazing assistant director and stage manager Aayisha Humphrey. Hers is a name you need to remember so you can say you heard of her before she became a famous actor.

Thanks of course go to Northminster Presbyterian Church for allowing us to perform in its wonderful theater space.

And thank you to all who came see our play, to bid in our fund-raising auction and to donate for our homemade snacks as well as to our donors who provided funds throughout the year. Ticket sales cover only about half our expenses, so donors are vital to allow us to present shows like Moving Boxes.
