Boys in the Basement opened Nov. 6 to raves from audience members who filled out short surveys about the production. Roughly 82% of the opening night audience said they would recommend the play to a friend. Approximately 93% said they found the story believable.
Roughly 82% said the characters seemed true-to-life for them while 75%, three-quarters of the audience who returned surveys, rated the show as either a 1 or a 2 on a one-to-five scale in which one equaled excellent.
“The audience really seemed to contact with the story on opening night,” says Boys in the Basement author John N. Frank, who also acts in the production. “A lot of hard work went into this production, it’s good to see it’s having an impact on the audience.
