Boys in the Basement looks at divorce circa 1993, before the Internet and before online dating, in the United States.

By way fo comparison, 1993 was the busiest year on record for divorce in the U.K., according to the inforgraphic below. It saw 165,018 couples getting divorces there.

Boys in the Basement centers around the 1993 divorce of the Rookie, the newest resident in an apartment house full of divorced men. Come see his story.

Performances will take place at the Noyes Cultural Arts Building (adjacent to the Noyes purple Line stop in Evanston) Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6,7, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 8, at 3 p.m. Performances also will take place the same times the following weekend, Nov. 13-15.
