2nd Act Players’ cofounder John N. Frank’s new 10-minute play, I’ll Take This One Brother, will have a free online reading Monday, July 17 at 6 p.m. central time. To see it, simply click here that evening.
The reading is being done by Just Write, Lakeland, a place for writers of stage and screen to have their work read aloud and critiqued by peers.
Frank will be directing the reading, working with a cast of actors he recently appeared with in Inherit the Wind at Theater D in Deerfield, Il: Peter Van Eck, Amanda Van Eck, Kevin Costello and Allen Katz-Mariani.
“The play is a prequel to my It’s My Brooklyn Too. The original play alludes to a discussion Sonny and Johnny had about enlisting after Pearl Harbor,” says Frank. “I’ll Take This One is that conversation.”
This is the second play Frank has had read by Just Write, Lakeland, which is based in Florida.
