A 2nd Act Players’ spotlight on — Jean Waller

Jean Waller had the challenge in the 2nd Act Players’ 2016 production of The Institute of playing the same character, Kathy O’Malley, at two different points in her life, when she was in high school, and in the present day.And she did it masterfully.

Today, “The next show I am in is London Assurance, by Irish playwright Dion Boucicault, at City Lit [in Chicago].  Previews start June 9th.  While the show is standard rep in Britain, it was last done in Chicago in 1897.”

Break leg, Jean.

Since its beginnings in 2013, the 2nd Act Players (which wasn’t officially called that until 2014) has seen more than 40 actors perform in the seven plays it either produced or co-produced. In this, our fifth year, we thought it would be fun to see what those actors have been up to lately, so we reached out and heard from several.

We’ll keep posting these updates throughout the year as we hear from more actors

. And we thank them for all their hard work with us.
