Thank you to our wonderful donors

We would like to publicly thank those who donated while purchasing tickets for the show. You donated a total of $345 to 2nd Act Players.

The 2nd Act Players offered tickets for our first production this season, Boys on the Basement, with a variable price option, This allowed ticket buyers to also donate to our not-for-profit theater group, supporting our mission to bring new works to the stage from emerging writers while spotlighting new acting talent.

Thank you to all our donors from all the Boys in the Basement!

We would like to publicly thank those who donated while purchasing tickets for the show. You donated a total of $345 to 2nd Act Players, a significant sum for our nascent group. Thank you to these wonderful supporters:

Barry Horowitz
Gregory Jansyn
Beth Linnen
Elan Long
Drew Ranieri
Stewart Schoder

During the course of the show, we also received our first foundation grant, from the California-based Ceres Foundation, an amazing and most welcome surprise. We are sending a personal note of thanks, but also want to acknowledge the foundation here.

We also again thank all our other donors who have responded to past fund-raising campaign this year and last. We truly could not have done this show without your support. You can see a partial list of donors on our contributor page. We will be updating that page shortly.

The idea for us to offer variable ticket pricing came from a dynamic young playwright we met in Austin, Texas, earlier this year, Elizabeth Doss, and her Paper Chairs theater group. If you’re ever in Austin when Paper Chairs has a performance, go see it, the creativity level is truly amazing. Elizabeth was an inspiration to me to make our show happen this year.
