The 2nd Act Players will open its 2015 season this November with Boys in the Basement, an original two-act play by 2nd Act Players creative director John N. Frank.
Boys in the Basement tells the until-now untold story of how men cope with the heartache of divorce. Each night, this rag-tag group of misfits gathers in an apartment house basement meeting room to drink beer, tell tales of past failed conquests and, for one at least, try to rebuild his life.
It’s all here, from the anger brought on by crushed dreams, to the bravado of macho swaggering, to the smug conceit of the one man in the group who has managed to keep his marriage together.
Mark your calendars now for the first two weekends in November when Boys in the Baement will be performed at the Piven Theatre Workshop in Evanston, Il.
And watch here for more on this dramatic new play you’re sure to be hearing more about in the coming days and months, as well as for years to come.
