Meet the Cast: Jeffrey Brabant

Jeffery Brabant will be playing Bill in It’s My Brooklyn, Too!

In a play populated by Italian-Americans, Bill is Irish, an outsider trying to gain acceptance from the family matriarch.

A young man in a hurry, he is swept up by the optimism brought on by the incoming John F. Kennedy presidency. He symbolizes an optimistic, cocky, anything-is-possible America of a bygone era.

Here, Jeffery talks about his acting history.

1 How and why did you get into acting?

To hopefully move others, and inspire them to follow their dreams.

2. If you could play any character in any play or movie, who would you pick and why?

The Emcee in Cabaret. He is so deliciously naughty and evil, it would be a blast to have so much command over a world. It just seems like pure fun.

3. What was your most recent acting role before this play and what did you learn about yourself doing it?

I recently played Benedick in a production of Much Ado About Nothing, and learned that I have a strongly avoidant attachment style when it comes to romantic relationships.
