The Evanston 2nd Act Players need your help to return to the stage this November.
“We plan to pay actors more than we have in the past. We also need to hire a production manager for the first time because frankly I’m getting too old to do all the physical labor involved in putting on a show,” says 2nd Act Players’ Co-founder John N. Frank, who turns 70 in early June.
“We also likely will need to rent more equipment than we have in the past. The space we want to use has no light board and the sound system was a mess the last time we performed there in 2019, so we’ll likely have to rent a lot of equipment,” Frank explains.
Frank has set up a birthday fundraiser for the Players on Facebook, to donate, simply click here. Even $5 will help.
“We’re reaching out to our old corporate sponsors too, but so far only one has agreed to support us again, so individual donations are going to be more important than ever,” explains Frank
