Special tickets for divorced theater-goers

Recognizing that divorce is one of the most emotionally difficult episodes anyone can face in their adult lives, the 2nd Act Players want to do something for those who have been through it and come out the other side into their new lives.

Boys in the Basement opens Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m., with a special ticket price for those who have suffered through a divorce.

So for each Friday night performance of our new play, Boys in the Basement, which deals with the pain of divorce from a man’s perspective, we’re offering a special ticket price for those who have been divorced.

Simply go to our ticket page, select either our Friday, Nov. 6 show or our Friday, Nov. 13 show, then click on the line that reads: Enter a Password or Discount Code.

When the discount code box appears, type Divorce, with a capital D and you’ll see the divorce rate pop up on the screen.

“This is the least we can do for anyone who has suffered the living hell of a divorce,” says playwright John N. Frank, himself the survivor of a divorce in 1993.

“I wrote this play to help people talk about and move beyond the trauma of divorce, so the least we can do is offer a ticket discount for them. I know how tight money can be after a divorce,” says Frank.
