The 2nd Act Players began this year with an ambitious fund-raising goal. Its founders pledged to match all contributions up to a total of $2,000. Money raised will be used to not only fund this year’s production of Boys in the Basement, but also to back our first-ever One-Act Play Competition in 2016!
Thanks to several extremely generous donors, we are now at 48% of our 2015 fund-raising goal! Thank you, thank you so much to friends and family who have donated so far.
And thanks to those who came to our first improv showcase/fundraiser in August and donated there. We have a second fund-raiser scheduled next week, Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Smylie Brothers in Evanston. We hope to see all our Chicago-area friends there.
Our thanks also go out to the wonderful businesses which already have agreed to sponsor our show programs for both Boys in the Basement and Remembrance — First Bank & Trust of Evanston, Rich Haskell at Wells Fargo Advisors, Dave’s Italian Kitchen, Duxler Complete Auto Care and MAGNETIKMOUNT.COM.
